Mountain Tea

The mountain tea plant (genus Sideritis - Sidiritis) used

widely in Mediterranean countries, including Greece, as a decoction (tea).

Investigation show that the species Sideritis having potential pharmacological properties, such as anti-inflammatory, analgesic,

antioxidant to an extent corresponding green tea (Camellia sinensis) protecting the gastrointestinal system and in the mitochondria, immunomodulating and antibacterial.

Contains substances that inhibit the reuptake of serotonin, dopamine and norandrenaline in mouse and serotonin in humans (antidepressant activity similar to that of SSRIs).

According to scientific studies, mountain sideritis tea is the enemy of Alzheimer's disease.
